Thank you. But at times, I truly feel we are a nation of sheep, readied for the slaughter. The men and women who founded this country fled tyranny. They were pushed to revolution by their European masters' attempts at continuing that tyranny on this continent. That same spirit of freedom which actuated them at first must rise again for a modern-day revolution to succeed. I do not advocate violence. Non-violent protest and political action are the tools required to return power to the people. The question is whether we the people will break away from our home theater systems long enough to do something about the usurpation we have for too long allowed?

Were I a state governor or legislator, the very first thing I'd do is tell the feds to shove it re: unfunded mandates, and a few "funded" ones as well since that funding is nothing more than more money stolen from the sheeple. Without apologies.

Instead, they line up at the fed teat. What a bunch of losers.

This is a tragedy for the world and a warning for people of all faiths. Religious extremism in any faith is dangerous, period.

I recently watched a documentary on the increase in teen runaways in America. Many were Gay & Lesbian teens who had been abused or kicked out of their "traditional Christian" homes because their parents viewed them as sinners and embarrassments. These kids are dying too..some from HIV acquired while prostituting themselves for survival...some from self medicating themselves with heroin...some falling victim to predators..others by suicide.

I hold these parents just as responsible for the deaths of these children as Mr. Parvez is for his daughter. The only difference is he killed quickly, they are killing slowly....but it's all done based on the arrogant extremest assumption that they alone know the mind of God and have a divine blessing to enforce His will.

Moderates of all faiths need to wake up and start pushing back against the various extreme elements within their community. Call them out...push back with the message of tolerance.

Why have we been led astray. Republicans have always been about NO NATION BUILDING. This president has moved our country deep in a hippie panacea of spreading peace to the middle east. The tax payers have contributed to bringing peace to Philadelphia, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York. Not Baghdad. If the same language was used by Bill Clitton we would reject the message. The fate of Iraq is not worth the lost future of our great country. There will be shortages of oil soon. Then there will be a shortage of food. Then there will be a shortage of consumers then we will fall. Fall not to any enemy strong enough to defeat us on the battlefield. But to our own huberous and greed to make the money while we can. How could this happen to us. Intelligent, responsible, and RIGHT. We deserve to lose this time around and hope the pheonix will rise ot of these ashes(trash). Lets hope we attract the best and not the worst among us. God Bless this Great Country. God Bless America.

It's not really what King George wants me to do, but so far it's still a free country, as of right now. I found your blog on the RP meetup profile. Keep up the great work.

Conservative, my ass!

Put Juan McCain and the Hildebeast side-by-side and you'd be hard pressed to notice much of a difference.

I'm doing a write-in this time. I am tired of getting screwed and sold down the river by these leftist appeasers dressed in republican clothing.

S,

Your blog about Mr. Paul is a great one and one that should be read by the majority, if not all voters before they cast their ballots in either their state primary/caucas or in November. I don't say this to sway all voters to Ron Paul's camp (of which I am a member). I just wish that all voters took the time to research the issues that affect them on a daily basis and make in informed decision. For example, Benjamin Framklin was confronted by a private citizen after the constitution was ratified in 1787. She asked, “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”. Mr Franklin replied, “A Republic, if you can keep it.” It is up to the people, and the people alone, to keep the government in check. After all, the US government is our servant, not our slavemaster!

Keep up the good writing!

I understand what you're saying. However, defining her words, which were not uttered in her place of employment, and carried no threat, as "hate speach" is ridiculous. Had she used those words on-air, she would understandably have been fired on the spot. I'm not advocating expanding any laws - indeed, I'd like to remove a few hundred. People are way too thin-skinned and complain far too much. If people don't like her, they should ignore her. If her company's ratings drop, they'll get the hint. One person writing a letter does not a "burn the witch" campaign make. The woman sent a reply that sufficiently expressed her regret over those comments. That priest should take more interest in saving souls than condemning them.

chosun1:

The First Amendment does not apply here. The First Amendment only means that the government cannot fine or imprison you for making political and religious speech. (Whether the First Amendment protects other types of speech is a neverending legal debate). It does not and more importantly should not apply to individuals and other non - state entities. If it did, you would not have the right to moderate comments on this very weblog. It would also be impossible to file a slander or defamation lawsuit.

A lot of people are confusing the First Amendment rights that the government cannot punish you for your religious and political speech (at minimum) with civil rights and labor laws and similar that give people limited freedoms concerning speech in the workplace. When those civil rights laws are violated, one can then sue that workplace for violating your civil and worker rights , not for violating the first amendment.

That, incidentally, is why certain groups are always trying to expand civil rights, hate crimes, and labor laws. Their goal is to create a legal environment that expands the freedom for them to engage in the speech that they like while restricts the freedom of speech that they oppose. That is what you find at most of our colleges and universities. The professors and administration - and by extension the politically active students - have a conviction that the First Amendment and similar does not protect "offensive hurtful intimidating speech" and that they alone reserve the right to define what is "offensive hurtful intimidating speech" and what is not.

I generally am for more speech and not less. However, I am also for more freedom and not less. Making people think that they have to obey the same rules that the government does means less freedom for the individual. The Second Amendment means that the government has to tolerate private possession of firearms (yes I do acknowledge that it is an issue subject to debate), but I do not have to allow anyone to bring a firearm into my home or business, and it is the responsibility of the state to enforce my refusing to tolerate private citizens possessing firearms even while the state itself is compelled to respect it.

Ultimately, pressure groups forcing companies and individuals to make business decisions (ESPN can ill afford a boycott by misguided Christians) is not to be concerned with in terms of restricting speech. Consider this: the unemployed, self - employed, or independently wealthy person can say whatever he wants! Expanding civil rights and labor laws that restrict speech, however, should be, especially if it gets to the point where the government actually begins to sanction people as they already do in Canada, Great Britain, Germany, etc. to the outrage of absolutely no one that is behind pressing civil rights and labor laws or who writes university speech codes in this country.

Hmm... I think it's time I put together a post on some seriously irresponsible legislation (HR.1955, S.1959) that was almost unanymously passed by the House and has been introduced to the Senate. Thanks for reminding me... before it's too late.

Below is my state's Republican Creed. It clearly describes only one Republican candidate, and the MSM have marginalized him. The GOP has been hijacked and they may well be destroyed before they wake up.

We Believe...
•	That the free enterprise system is the most productive supplier of human needs and economic justice

•	That all individuals are entitled to equal rights, justice and opportunities and should assume their responsibilities as citizens in a free society

•	That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government

•	That the Federal Government must preserve individual liberty by observing constitutional limitations

•	That peace is best preserved through a strong national defense

•	That faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers, is essential to the moral fiber of the Nation

My tea leaves tell me: a democrat house, a democrat senate and a democrat president.

In other words, republicans have forgotten what it is like to BE republican and while trying to maintain control have, themselves, gone to the left to appeal to those who want to just suck the government tit.

What can we look forward to? Higher taxes, forced "carbon offset" schemes, $200 oil, serious assaults on 2nd amendment and continued deterioration of the 1st.

Way too many people are becoming way too thin-skinned.

Pretty soon you can expect hate-thought crime allegations and prosecutions.

And when we can't speak out loud is when we tend to become explosively violent.

I say, "stock up on ammo. If this continues the excrement will soon hit the air recirculation device."

Don't mean to sound too radical here but we all know the expression: "put your money where your mouth is."

Maybe all these moonbats should slightly modify that statement to read they should put a pistol where their mouth is and......PULL THE TRIGGER.

That would put them out of our misery.

But that's just me...... :-)

Finally, someone is writting the TRUTH! It never ceases to amaze me how the media and commentators provide their perspecitive only, leaving the uniformed public believing their version of the 'truth.'

Thank you for showing the rest of us the other side of the coin and bringing TRUTH with it. You provided a well rounded article. Wish the media and commentators would take note and write like you.

Job well done!

I'm afraid you are right about it being too late to derail the train. Here's an article you may find of interest... http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58778
I'm not one to embrace conspiracy theories, but the writing is on the wall on this one. The premediated aggression you speak of is all aimed at moving us to a one-world government.

A short walk to the backside of a barn for administration of a good blanket party followed seconds later by the sharp report of a .45 going off against a temple works really well.

Well written chosun1

My humble studies and contributions about the SPP or North American Union are at

http://whitestone7.110mb.com/default.htm

We Canadians who are informed don't want this integration (takeover)
and most informed Canadians are upset at our leaders who seem to be selling out Canada relating to resources and sovereignty

We (informed) view the association with the U.S. as a liability now, for example we used to have a military that was used as a peacekeeping force and were proud of that... Now that has changed and our military is being used for an agressive invading force due to the association we have with the U.S. and the fact that American troops can come up here anytime they wish in a military role under the new NORTHCOM agreement... The S.P.P. (NAU) is being used to control us militarily, economically, and politically with the help of our elected leaders...

A lot of us are upset about that

The problem is that both the Liberals and Conservatives seem to have the same view about it and there is only the Canadian Action Party and the New Democratic Party opposed to it

Neither one has a snowballs chance in hell of being elected to govern

We started to warn Canadians of about the Americans slow takeover of Canada in the 60's and no-one listened then and they are not listening now

Now that the NAU has been brought to the forefront in the news not by the Media but by activists opposed to it - I fear it is too late because the integration has been happening slowly one concession and law passed over the last 60 or so years, for some of us this is no surprise

This is not a conspiracy at all this is pre-meditated aggression

Genocide is bad. We know that.

But to use it as a political tool to tear your own country apart and guarantee defeat in a war (and put more of your soldiers at risk) just to score political points borders on the treasonous.

Pelosi and crowd are despicable and unworthy of being called "American."

OBTW, I, too, look forward to the resolutions condemning Pol Pot, et al.

Nomad, there is a lot of vitriol spewing on this side of the planet. My post wasn't political in nature - just commenting on the behavior of our former Commander-in-Chief. I think it's safe to say that I stepped on someone's "personal jesus" (did I say that?). ;)

Eve, it would be much easier to do as you suggest if he would not appear delusional in front of the press, or a television audience. I'd truly prefer to read about his laudible efforts with Habitat for Humanity or another charitible organization.

Rodney, I'll offer the same advice for you that I offered Mr. Carter... if you have 1st hand knowledge of torture on the part of the U.S. government (other than how they tax us to death) take that knowledge to the U.N. and urge them to convene a war crimes tribunal. If you're unable or unwilling to do that, then retract the statement, or STFU.

Chosun1, you are too kind and patient to a fault when it comes to ranting moonbats.

I knew in scrolling through Gary's diatribe that he was a socialist butt-kissing lackey of the looney left.

How did I know? Because he took so long to try and make a point.

If you note the length of speeches by communist dictators and other leftoid a**hole presidents of third world countries you will see that they go on..and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on...

AND SAY NOTHING WORTHY OF MERIT.

Gary – I made no attempt to attempt to correlate Democrats with Communists. My comments were aimed squarely at the recent behavior of former President Carter.

Why is it that the first thing you felt compelled to do was to resort to the use of labels? Then you dive into a lengthy rant of talking points that have nothing to do with the subject of the post you are commenting on.

Inferring to someone who disagrees with your views as a Nazi is a sure sign that you feel inadequate to participate in rational discourse.

I remember all too well the Iran hostage crisis. I know family members of one of the hostages. I also remember how effective former President Carter was in winning their release. But I didn't comment on that.

I remember all too well that former President Carter went to North Korea and proclaimed that he had made an agreement with Kim Jong Il over the DPRK's fledgling nuclear program -- very Chamberlain-esque. And -- he had no authority to make any deals. I seem to recall that former President Clinton was more than just a little irritated over Mr. Carter's actions in that matter. But I didn't comment on that.

And yes Gary, I do watch what happens in the Sudan, and it sickens me to no end that the rest of the world just sits by and watches (with blind eyes) the genocide there. But I wasn’t commenting on that, either -- perhaps another time.

I could go on about what I was not commenting on, but hopefully by now you understand that the subject of my post is former President Carter's recent behavior. If you disagree with my assessment of his behavior, comment on that. Tell me why his actions of late are rational.

I write about things that I want to write at a specific moment in time. I don't regurgitate a political party's talking points, as some of those whose comments appear here do. And I’d appreciate it if you’d remember that.

It would seem that PeaNUT farmer Carter forgot to mention that the 90's under Pres Clinton weren't as carefree as he "remembers". However, I DO remember the 1st attempt to bring down the World Trade Center by foreign and domestic terrorists. How bout the bombing od 2 US Embassies by terrorists?! Anyone remember a boat with the name USS Cole on the side? If carter wants to talk of the torture claims under the Bush administration against foreign terrorists, perhaps he should mention the horror and torture that the children trapped inside the Waco, Tx compound went through while it burned down around them. He could also mention the horror that Randy Weaver's children went through when Clinton's FBI sniper killed Mrs. Weaver for nothing more than holding her infant in her arms...THAT'S torture!

SackaSSibel,
I always hesitate to go ad hominem on anyone, but.... your asinine diatribe suffers no rational base, SSibal. Tho it does, nonetheless, reveal much about you. It is very obvious by your unfounded, even goofy remarks that you are not only arrogant, but ignorant as well. Your so-called facts are wrong. Your lame attempt to correlate Democrats with Communists prompts me to confirm Bettejo Dux apt perception of you and then to point out that your SSslip is showing.
You don't have a clue to what is going on in the Sudan. If you did, you'd be the one to shut up... out of utter embarrassment and shame.
Unlike you, who presumes much, but actually understands little, I have seen behind the curtain, the veil, many times and can and will say that things actually not even remotely as you think they be.
You also clearly know nothing abut the former Iranian hostage crisis nor the manipulation at the time by Reagan's team of said circumstance to delay the hostage's release so as to discredit Carter and enhance Reagan's celebratory acceptance of the mantel, (such has since been confessed to by the operatives, so if you bothered to read the papers you'd have known that) and like most fools, you were probably very impressed with Reagan and his blatantly lazy, muddled thought processes. Of record, I sent many friends emails back when Reagan was in office, citing the inarguably clear and classic signs of dementia he was manifesting at the time, (our current King George isn't the first 'Emperor' with no clothes) and I even stated back then... that he apparently was suffering from Alzheimer's and that the only thing that could possibly keep us from crashing on the rocks with such a bad actor with gross mental deficiencies standing at the helm of state, was that the neocons, both in the cabinet and his closest advisors, were all reading the same charts as per the approximate course the conservatives had decided to take. By the way, Reagan didn't destroy the Soviet Empire, they did it to themselves by overreaching and spending way, way too much of their GNP on military adventures... just like BushFerBrains is doing to America right now with over $772,000,000 being expended daily on his moronic, horribly ill-advised venture into Iraq. I know exactly what the war is really about and exactly who promoted it and exactly why. I know who sold the WMD to Hussein, (you can find his picture if you Google for Hussein and Donald/I'mTryingToDuckButIt'sTooLate/ Rumsfeld as they shake hands over one of the arms deals back when George's father was the Prez). I know who went into Kazakhstan, (see Afghanistan region on a map and think real hard SSibal, it'll all start to come in to focus for you), to the oil fields of Kashagan, which contain about as much oil as was discovered in the largest field, the Ghawar field in Saudi Arabia. That fellow represented Exon in a failed effort to gain the Kazakhstan rulers cooperation to re-direct the oil instead from pipelines then and now flowing the oil to the Black Sea to a formerly agreed upon corridor thru Afghani territory as negotiate by George Senior's oil buds so as to benefit them instead of the Russians, (see Taliban meeting at George W's ranch shortly before 9/11 and press reports back then where the fundamentalist/heroin trafficking/wife beating former "admired friends" of both George's announced that they were reneging on giving the George's oil associates a right away thru Afghanistan after all. See C-SPAN, (it was recorded) reporter approach General Tommie Franks just after his and the U. S. troops and equipment arrived in the staging area Uzbekistan, which is strategically located above and to the east of Afghanistan, where in General Franks is asked the following question, "General Franks, why have you come here?" and without hesitation, the general responded, "Why to protect the oil of course!". Odd... the American people were told that the general and his troops were going to march into Afghanistan and get Bin Laden and take out the Taliban in the process because, "..they are implicated in the terrorist attacks in New York". Something else that your little pea-sized brain didn't pick up on, SSibel, the U.S. and Uzbekistan had been in an alliance to get control for the western oil companies, (read: the two George's business associates), of the pipeline route thru Afghanistan for several years before 9/11. Didn't you realize back during the Russian campaign to gain the Afghanistan war that the U.S. thru the C.I.A. funded Bin Laden adn his so-called freedom fighter's so as to oppsoe Russia's efforts to so gain the route? The U.S. financed Bin Laden and it was done to stop Russia from putting a pipeline across Afghanistan so they could load tankers in the Persian Gulf and sail them past the Straits of Hormoz and sell the oil to western countries to generate substantial revenues for Russia. What does this have to do with Carter? He wouldn't play ball with George Sr.'s oil crowd. Jimmy carter, God Bless him, thought that the American people should be the benefactors of any incursion, if one were actually necessary, into Asian territories and not some assholes that could care less wether we Americans lived or died. SSibel, unlike you, someone who audaciously pops off behind the cloak of semi-credibility afforded to anybody that portends to be a substantive blogger these days, I actually know a thing or two. I am 63 years old now and my first experiences with egomaniacal jerks that run the oil industry and through it, way too big a part of our lives, was when I decided that I was tired of their bullshit and I ran for Chair of the Democratic Party in the State of Alaska, (this back in the heady Alaska pipeline days). I was 25 years old at that time and a political neophyte, yet within three month's of such stated determination, I was in the position. Not realizing that I ahd jsut bit off more than anyone woud ever want to chew, thereafter I saw first hand how ugly, how overwhelmingly corrupt the oil companies really are. They quietly bought controlling interests in most of the newspapers in the state after they discovered oil in Prudhoe Bay. They even took over the state employees union thru a front person, the daughter of the chief lobbyist for the consortium of oil companies that agreed to build and finance the pipeline, (Alyeska). A friend of mine, U.S. Congressman Nick Begich and the then Speaker of The U.S. House of Representatives, Hale Boggs, came to the state to stump for Nick's reelection and in that they were known to be seen as a serious threat to Alyeska by way of their stand against many aspects of the oil companies venture, the two high-level representatives of our government.... our government.... went to such lengths as not announcing their itinerary as they then flew from one town in the next in the vast state. They even chose to use different private planes for each leg of the journey... but these precautions did not protect them. They were lost just north of Juneau in what was claimed to have been a mysterious accident, (neither they nor their pane were ever found). Recently, thru the Freedom of Information Act, documents that were formerly in the possession of J. Edgar Hoover, as now read, clearly indicate that Hoover was aware of the downed plane's location, (he had received information from ham radio operators that provided for effective triangulation of the radio signals coming from the wreckage), but intentionally did not release the information to the 10,000+ search group comprised of several branches of the military nor to state of Alaska personal either. Also recently discovered are tapes where Nixon discussed how he wanted to "do something about Boggs. He's crazy, we have to stop this guy" and how he, Nixon, thought he could rely on Hoover to help.
The people that are really in power will do whatever they think they have to... anything and everything they think they have to... to keep their control over the rest of us.
Jimmy wasn't a part of their club, nor was Bill Clinton.

I always hesitate to go ad hominem on anyone, but…. your asinine diatribe suffers no rational base, SSibal.
You don’t have a clue to what is going on in the Sudan. If you did, you’d be the one to shut up… out of utter embarrassment and shame.
Unlike you, who presumes much, but actually understands little, I have seen behind the curtain, the veil, many times and can and will say that things actually not even remotely as you think they be.
You also clearly know nothing abut the former Iranian hostage crisis nor the manipulation at the time by Reagan’s team of said circumstance to delay the hostage’s release so as to discredit Carter and enhance Reagan’s celebratory acceptance of the mantel, (such has since been confessed to by the operatives, so if you bothered to read the papers you’d have known that) and like most fools, you were probably very impressed with Reagan and his blatantly lazy, muddled thought processes. Of record, I sent many friends emails back when Reagan was in office, citing the inarguably clear and classic signs of dementia he was manifesting at the time, (our current King George isn’t the first ‘Emperor’ with no clothes) and I even stated back then… that he apparently was suffering from Alzheimer’s and that the only thing that could possibly keep us from crashing on the rocks with such a bad actor with gross mental deficiencies standing at the helm of state, was that the neocons, both in the cabinet and his closest advisors, were all reading the same charts as per the approximate course the conservatives had decided to take. By the way, Reagan didn’t destroy the Soviet Empire, they did it to themselves by overreaching and spending way, way too much of their GNP on military adventures… just like BushFerBrains is doing to America right now with over $772,000,000 being expended daily on his moronic, horribly ill-advised venture into Iraq. I know exactly what the war is really about and exactly who promoted it and exactly why. I know who sold the WMD to Hussein, (you can find his picture if you Google for Hussein and Donald/I’mTryingToDuckButIt’sTooLate/ Rumsfeld as they shake hands over one of the arms deals back when George’s father was the Prez). I know who went into Kazakhstan, (see Afghanistan region on a map and think real hard SSibal, it’ll all start to come in to focus for you), to the oil fields of Kashagan, which contain about as much oil as was discovered in the largest field, the Ghawar field in Saudi Arabia. That fellow represented Exon in a failed effort to gain the Kazakhstan rulers cooperation to re-direct the oil instead from pipelines then and now flowing the oil to the Black Sea to a formerly agreed upon corridor thru Afghani territory as negotiate by George Senior’s oil buds so as to benefit them instead of the Russians, (see Taliban meeting at George W’s ranch shortly before 9/11 and press reports back then where the fundamentalist/heroin trafficking/wife beating former “admired friends” of both George’s announced that they were reneging on giving the George’s oil associates a right away thru Afghanistan after all. See C-SPAN, (it was recorded) reporter approach General Tommie Franks just after his and the U. S. troops and equipment arrived in the staging area Uzbekistan, which is strategically located above and to the east of Afghanistan, where in General Franks is asked the following question, “General Franks, why have you come here?” and without hesitation, the general responded, “Why to protect the oil of course!”. Odd… the American people were told that the general and his troops were going to march into Afghanistan and get Bin Laden and take out the Taliban in the process because, “..they are implicated in the terrorist attacks in New York”. Something else that your little pea-sized brain didn’t pick up on, SSibel, the U.S. and Uzbekistan had been in an alliance to get control for the western oil companies, (read: the two George’s business associates), of the pipeline route thru Afghanistan for several years before 9/11. Didn’t you realize back during the Russian campaign to gain the Afghanistan war that the U.S. thru the C.I.A. funded Bin Laden adn his so-called freedom fighter’s so as to oppsoe Russia’s efforts to so gain the route?
Dear Bettejo Dux,
Scared? I don't think so. Your willingness to believe Mr. Carter "anytime, anywhere for any reason" does not deserve fear, only pity. As for your "goose step" remark, I really think you should read your own comment about what and whom you're willing to believe before making statements like that. You don't know me. You only disagree with the content of my latest post. You're entitled to your opinion, even when it is dead wrong. You really should get out once in a while, see a bit more of the world and do some thinking for yourself.

Dear Mr Carter, It would be nice if you and the rest of the Democrats would have the best interests of the United States Of America at heart, but I fear that you and the rest of your Socialist/Communist friends will not be happy until you manage to bring the country down! Howerer, there are too many people like me that will make sure you Socialist Rat Bastards will never achieve your goal.
You nearly did the economy in while you were the discrace of the President that you were, but you were even so bad at that, that it didn't happen! You did manage to have scores of Americans held hostage, drive the interest rates to all time highs (20 %+) and numereous other fuck-ups credited to your "peanut brain", to many to mention. So quit betraying your country, undermining your President and the military, go back to Georgia, lock yourself in a room and LUST after your pal HILLARY ! If you've got facts and proof to back them up re; our use of TORTURE, they present them. Other wise, shut the fuck up!

If we go with carbon offsets in order to allow people to pollute (that's all they do, they do not reduce pollution) I want speeding offsets where I can pay to have an old fogey stay at home and add what would have been their average speed to mine without so I can do 95 MPH without getting a ticket; I want to buy offsets by making donations to MADD so I can continue to drive drunk; I want to buy offsets from drug rehab facilities so I can sell drugs without getting arrested.

How about this: sex credits: pay someone NOT to have it so you can have as much as you want. Maybe buy some from the spouse before heading out on the next business trip? hehehehe

food credits: pay someone to go borderline anorexic (not so much so they die) and then pile on the pounds with no guilt!

If we go with carbon offsets in order to allow people to pollute (that’s all they do, they do not reduce pollution) I want speeding offsets where I can pay to have an old fogey stay at home and add what would have been their average speed to mine without so I can do 95 MPH without getting a ticket; I want to buy offsets by making donations to MADD so I can continue to drive drunk; I want to buy offsets from drug rehab facilities so I can sell drugs without getting arrested.

How about this: sex credits: pay someone NOT to have it so you can have as much as you want. Maybe buy some from the spouse before heading out on the next business trip? hehehehe

Yes, I've been watching both for quite some time now. I think the ACLU is no longer a useful organization :(

I would also be betraying the trust of another person who frst brought the situation to my attention. There's no easy way out of this for me. So I'll just watch and wait.

Well, if you know both of them, can't you confront the offending party? Again, that depends on how well you know them.

Exactly the type of situation I was writing about. I know both of them, and anything I say will lead them down the irreversible path to divorce. I'm really torn on this one :(

I had this very conversation with a friend of mine not too long ago. To me, it depends on the depth of the friendship with the other person, and other circumstances. For example, he told me that he saw the wife of a friend doing something she shouldn't have been doing and wondered if he should tell his friend. That, in my opinion, depends on how close you are to both people (or not) and the consequences of speaking up.
